This main-level renovation reworked the home’s existing footprint by removing load-bearing walls to unify the kitchen, dining, and living room into a single open-concept plan, adding a scullery, and redesigning a laundry and powder room. Sightlines were prioritized throughout the design process, with the layout, ceiling beam placement, and window openings oriented to maximize views of Lake Norman from the primary gathering spaces. The overall goal of this project was to create a functional and cozy home for this family to gather, entertain, and enjoy the lake views in their own backyard.
